Serials-Bengali soap operas - is that the real scenario and what about women? 

Soap operas are those that entertains people, is made for the entertainment purpose. Bengali soap operas are mostly over meloddramatic dramas based on a family where one husband has 2 wives or vice versa and its very important that one wife will be from village and other from the city. Village wife being uneducated becomes  first in her class while the educated wife becomes the poison of the family .The fact that villains are more intelligent. 

What I am going to talk about is that why women are shown as use and throw material? Is it very necessary to showcase the fact that woman defines weaker section of society. We intellectuals shout for abolition of patriarchy but its same us who make the show as well as watch it and also awarded on stage. Feminist says equality for both men and women in the eye of law but are these serials not the key to the fuming patriarchy?

Serials are act of daily life and if the act is degraded, people will imitate this only and result is seen in todays instances of domestic violence against women not only by men but also by the women who consider it right to cause harm to her family.
