The reality of digital development in India from a student's perspective-
It's 2020 and we are moving like the two hands of a clock. Yes, we are undergoing a revolution,a technological revolution. The world has been pushing us to trace our existence in the futuristing world arena. It has become a do or die situation for everybody. We either adopt technology or we disappear from human race slowly.
2020 is a year which has changed the world scenario a lot.2020 has changed our lifestyle, our ways of inspecting the world.Technology has been put under a real test right now . It is the technology that is struggling to tie up the world in a very small enclosed space. Lot of countries and continents are continuously developing their technology.
India, a developing country is also trying to become technologically sound . In many areas it has already. The IT sectors and various other firms are active in making India digitally and technologically sound. The Govrnment is also trying to push India digitally.
But what is the real story from my view point?
I am a student in India , a Post Graduate and a hopeful media person of the future.
Like me , there are thousand of students with lot of dreams in their eyes.
2020 has been worst hit for us , it has challenged our education.
Everything is now online .
While it becomes bit difficult for me to get internet regularly for a flawless online class,
There are thousands of students who don't have enough resources to continue their education.
According to the reports of ASER survey 2020, nearly 20% of school children in rural India had no school books due to Covid-19 Impact. The survey found out that 5.3% of rural children did not enrollin the school this year as compared to just 1.8% in 2018. The percentage of the students drop outs in rural India is already high.
There are certain reasons why the education is becoming really difficult in thr rural India. The
first and foremost is the unavailibilty of proper technology in the rural India. The next big factor is the lack of technological knowhow. The third is the inability to afford a device that can support the online class, fourth is the pricing of Internet .Lot of students even if they can afford a single mobile phone , they cannot pay for the internet. The alloted money is forcibly taken up by the family member for doing other household chores. It has even become more difficult for the girl students to continue their education in this Pandemic .The family members are of the opinion that the amount spent behind a girl's education can be wisely used in agricultural purpose because the agriculture is also worst hit in the Covid-19.To them Education is something unnecessary when it comes to a girl.

The Government is shouting digital India without even considering the lack of proper infrastructure and the inaccessability to the basic needs. The Government allots money for the education of rural India but never checks whether this allotment is really used for the purpose of education.
Then you may rise a question- Are you of the opinion that education is not the need of the hour for these people ?
Yes ofcourse, Education is far more important than anything and it will continue like this only.
But I will focus on the fact that Government must build up a proper infrastructure, make education pocket friendly for these people, Government NGOs must be set up to provide free education to the rural children. Education should be more on practicality rather than the classroom teaching.More vocational courses should be involved. The Government should consider everybody rather than particular groups.Digitalization should start from the grassroot in the grassroot areas our country. The rural India should be paid a lot more importance because India depends on rural India for their every day meal. If the rural India does not get educated, the dream of a modern India will be lost forever. We,the students of one India should becomes the faces of modern , technologically advanced India. Then there will be a real technological advancement in India.
